MILWAUKEE (WLWT)– A 7-year-old with an inoperable brain tumor wants to receive letters from dogs. So far, she’s received nearly 50,000.
Emma Mertens is a big dog lover. She’s also a fighter and has been battling a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a rare and inoperable tumor. Her family, who posted multiple photos of her with dogs on a crowdsourcing site, say she wants nothing more than letters from dogs to brighten her days during her treatments.
