ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — An Anderson County woman accused of repeatedly soliciting the murder of her husband, who was shot in the face last week, pleaded not guilty Monday in an Anderson County courtroom.

Kentucky State Police arrested 36-year-old Amanda Rogers and 28-year-old Jason Patrick Downs, both of Lawrenceburg.
According to her arrest citation, police say Rogers discussed killing her husband “on multiple occasions.”
On Wednesday, police responded to a reported assault at a home along Alton Station Road found Christopher Rogers with a gunshot wound to his face.

He was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, where officials said he was in critical condition.
Officials said they recovered a 9mm round and spent shell casing at the scene of the shooting.Investigators say a neighbor told them he saw two men fleeing the area after the shooting in a van.
Police said they determined Downs was the driver.
Amanda Rogers was charged with solicitation of murder, and Downs was charged with first-degree assault.
