LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – LEX 18 brought home some hardware from the Kentucky Associated Press Broadcasters Awards banquet.
The annual competition recognizes the best work in college and professional broadcasting. Winners were announced on Saturday night in a number of categories.
For the first time ever, LEX 18 won 1st place for Overall Excellence.

LEX 18 also was recognized in other Division 1 television categories including sports prep show, feature videography, continuing coverage, special series, investigative reporting and evening newscast.
