BATH COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Bath County Coroner officials were on the scene Wednesday morning after a fatal officer-involved shooting, authorities said.
Kentucky State Police said a Bath County deputy shot a suspect during an altercation after a pursuit. Officials said the shooting was fatal.
An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
The shooting occurred along Lyons Road in Owingsville.
The KSP Critical Incident Response Team was investigating the incident.
