(LEX 18) — Flooding in Nebraska hit historic highs this year, causing more than $1 billion in damages.

So on Friday, a group of generous Kentuckians will head to the Cornhusker State to give donations to those in need.

Donations have been pouring in from a statewide drive coordinated by Kentucky Extension Offices, FFA groups and other agriculture programs.

That includes about 230 bales of hay and other supplies.

The group will start packing up semis in Frankfort on Friday morning.
