OWSLEY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Two rival baseball teams from eastern Kentucky met on the baseball field Tuesday evening, and one run, in particular, is getting all of the attention.
Adam Faulkner’s mother tells LEX 18 that her son has always wanted to play baseball but couldn’t because he has down syndrome.
Tuesday night, at the Lee-Owsley match, the rival teams worked together to let Adam play during the JV game.
He even got to score for Lee County! He was all smiles after the experience.
Lee County won 6-0 over Owsley.
