KENTON COUNTY, Ky. (WCPO)– A man who killed one and injured two others in a stabbing behind a Kenton County bar last summer is pleading guilty.

Police say there was a fist fight in a parking lot after the bar in Covington closed early July 1 of last year, and Chazrico Gibson pulled out a knife and stabbed three people.

38-year-old Aaron Howard, of Cincinnati, died in the stabbing.

The other two victims were treated for minor injuries.

Gibson pleaded guilty to charges of manslaughter and assault before Kenton Circuit Judge Gregory Bartlett on Wednesday.

Prosecutors are recommending a 20-year sentence.

Final sentencing is scheduled for June 24.
