The good news for Mom’s Day is we are finished with the *majority* of showers for the day. In no way does that mean we aren’t due for more, but the heavy stuff and thunderstorms are wrapping up in the southeast. Overcast skies and a few scattered light showers are expected through the day, especially in the afternoon/evening. Otherwise, we’re starting mild, in the low 60s and will cool before warming to about where we are now.

Scattered to isolated rain showers will be the case through Mother’s Day, or just an overcast with only small bits of sun peeking through. Monday is pretty much the same thing, only cooler. Temperatures will struggle to break past the low 60s each afternoon thanks to a northerly wind from a slowly-departing low. Eventually, high pressure clears the clouds and we rebound in temperature for the middle of the week. The only rain chance in the foreseeable future is a few light and isolated rain showers on Wednesday and Thursday time frame. Even still, temperatures warm through the 70s and into the 80s for the end of the week and weekend with more sunshine promised.
