WAYNE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – Memorial Day weekend is upon us and one popular Lake Cumberland Marina is trying to clean up after a devastating fire.
Four days ago, the marina at Conley Bottom Resort was engulfed in flames. But people are working hard to get what they can ready for Memorial Day weekend.
LEX 18 was here on Monday during the fire and witnesses say the fire engulfed four boats. Conley Bottom Resort and Marina also lost their entire restaurant and store, so loyal supporters of the Marina are planning to show their support by gathering on the lake tomorrow, lighting up their phones and playing music to show they will be back.
The event is set to take place at 8:30 p.m. Saturday and everyone is encouraged to attend.
