LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – A man was arrested after reportedly pointing a weapon at people in downtown Lexington on Sunday afternoon.
Around 2:30 p.m. police responded to reports of a man wearing camouflage and pointing a weapon at people in the area near Short Street and Broadway.
Witnesses thought it appeared to be an AR-15 rifle, but officers later discovered it was an Airsoft Rifle.
Lexington police officials say they were able to find the man and he was arrested.
Reportedly 27-year-old Josiah D. White was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Shortly after 2:30 pm, witnesses reported that a man wearing camouflage clothing was pointing what appeared to be an AR-15 rifle at many people in downtown Lexington. The man was quickly apprehended and was actually carrying an Airsoft rifle. ⠀
