Jail: Torsteinson Picked Up By Immigration Officials

ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Three Forks Jail has confirmed with LEX 18 that a man accused of sending inappropriate messages to minors in Estill County was picked up by immigration officials.

Torstein Torsteinson, 35, was picked up by immigration officials around 9 a.m. Monday.

Police say Torstein Torsteinson contacted four girls, messaging them for sex. His girlfriend, former Estill County teacher Sherry Murphy, is accused of failing to report it and then interfering with the investigation.

Murphy pleaded not guilty.

The jail did not go into any further detail about the situation.
