EAST BERNSTADT, Ky. (LEX 18)- Some families in Laurel County are cleaning up after storms tore through trees this weekend. One family is searching for a place to stay in the meantime.

Walking up and down Highway 25 in East Bernstadt, there are many downed trees and power lines. But the Snyder family is having to deal with a tree right on top of their home.

The family was sitting in their living room around 8 p.m. Sunday when a large tree went through a bedroom. The tree fell near the same spot where, in March of 2012, the tornado ripped off their roof.

The trailer shook violently when hit and now they are without power and water.

The family stayed in a motel last night, but now are trying to figure out what to do next.
