TRIGG COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Animal control officers are trying to find whoever shot a dog found wounded outside a Trigg County home last week.

The animal was found bleeding in a yard outside of Canton, Kentucky last Thursday.

X-Rays from Trigg County's Animal Control shows the bullet resting near the dog's spine.

They said the bullet nearly paralyzed her, but she is expected to be okay.

If you have any information on who did it, call animal control at (270) 350-8209.
