LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE/LEX 18) — Two suspects have been arrested after a multi-state police chase that went through Kentucky and Indiana on Sunday morning.

WAVE reported that the chase ended on Cane Run Road on Sunday. According to Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Dwight Mitchell, Indiana State Police chased a vehicle into Jefferson County around 5:30 a.m.

Mitchell said the chase started when the vehicle had struck and hurt a trooper while fleeing the scene of a crime.

According to WAVE, the Louisville Metro Police Department had been told that the passenger of the vehicle had a firearm and was pointing it at a trooper.

Both suspects were taken into custody when the chase stopped on Cane Run Road. The Indiana State Police is seeking extradition of both suspects, according to WAVE.

One of the suspects, James B. Rogers, 47, was already wanted by LMPD on a felony warrant for escape in the second degree. According to WAVE, there were no charges filed by LMPD against the second suspect.
