LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Officials in Laurel County responded to an ATV accident, which sent one to UK Hospital and sent a different person to jail.
A deputy said while he was responding to another scene, he came across the ATV crash on Hazel Patch Road.
He said a passenger had a severe injury to her hand, which caused her to be flown to UK Medical Center.
As of Sunday morning, there has been no word on the passenger's condition.
During the investigation, the deputy said he smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming form Christopher Kirves.
He was allegedly driving the ATV that crashed.
Kirves was arrested and faces multiple charges, including DUI.
