LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A family friendly event that involves dogs is happening all weekend at the Kentucky Horse Park.

The Bluegrass Classic Dog Show has been around for more than 60 years.

According to Janet Rivers, the cluster chair of Bluegrass Dog Classic, there are around 1,600 dogs and 190 different breeds.

There are various groups: sporting, hound, working, terrier, toy, non-sporting and herding.

Rivers said that every judge in the show has a different mindset and looks at the way a dog is built.

There will also be other events like dog diving, which is big with the crowds.

The dog show started on Thursday and will have its last day on Labor Day.
