JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Cases involving one ounce or less of marijuana will no longer be prosecuted in Jefferson County, according to WAVE.
A county attorney announced the change on Wednesday and said he won't prosecute marijuana possession for less that one ounce, but only for those over 21 years of age.
Cases that will still be prosecuted are ones involving trafficking, driving under the influence of, along with public use display.
Public intoxication involving marijuana use will also be prosecuted.
