1,273 new COVID-19 cases reported in Kentucky, positivity rate rises to over 8%

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — 1,273 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Kentucky.

In Tuesday's COVID-19 report, the state says the current positivity rate has also gone up to 8.11%, the highest since February 5th.

520 Kentuckians are in the hospital from the virus, 175 are in the ICU, and 83 people are on a ventilator.

Four more people have died from COVID-19, bringing the total number of those who died from COVID-19 in the state to 7,323.

2,283,428 Kentuckians have been vaccinated.
