1,623 new COVID cases reported in Kentucky Friday

(LEX 18) — On Friday, 1,623 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the state of Kentucky.

Of those cases, 455 belong to the 18 and under age group.

49 new deaths were reported and the state's positivity rate is 5.08%.

Currently, 864 people are hospitalized, 273 in ICUS, and 144 people on ventilators.
