1,802 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Kentucky on Monday

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — During his Monday press conference, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that 1,802 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Kentucky. After the removal of duplicates, the 1,802 new cases COVID-19 brings Kentucky's COVID-19 case total to 224,890.

"This is less cases than last week on Monday which was less than the week before," Gov. Beshear noted.

Monday's positivity rate was 8.58%.

Gov. Beshear also announced 17 new coronavirus-related deaths, bringing Kentucky's coronavirus-related death total to 2,224.

As of Monday, 1,712 Kentuckians are in the hospital for coronavirus-related reasons, 441 of which are in the ICU and 243 of which are on a ventilator. At least 32,050 Kentuckians have recovered from COVID-19.
