2,690 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Kentucky on Tuesday

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — During his Tuesday press conference, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that 2,690 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Kentucky. After the removal of duplicates, the 2,690 new cases brings Kentucky's COVID-19 case total to 162,838.

"Today is our second highest Tuesday, that is just after last Tuesday," Gov. Beshear noted. "It is our ninth highest day."

Gov. Beshear also announced 17 new coronavirus-related deaths, bringing Kentucky's coronavirus-related death total to 1,809.

As of Tuesday, 1,658 Kentuckians are hospitalized for coronavirus-related reasons, 390 of which are in the ICU and 207 of which are on ventilators. At least 26,951 Kentuckians have recovered from COVID-19.
