28 more people die from COVID-19 in Kentucky, 2,440 total since start of pandemic

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — There are 3,057 new cases of COVID-19 reported on Tuesday. Of the new cases, Governor Andy Beshear also announced 28 more Kentuckians have died from the virus.

Since the pandemic began, 2,440 Kentuckians have died from COVID-19. There have been 247,344 cases of COVID-19 cases in Kentucky.

Gov. Beshear says the state's positivity rate has decreased slightly to 8.48%, which is slightly lower than Monday's 8.64% positivity rate.
