342 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Kentucky on Monday

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — During his Monday press conference, Gov. Andy Beshear announced 342 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Kentucky, bringing the state's COVID-19 case total to 57,282

Of the 342 new Kentuckians to test positive for COVID-19, 54 are 18 or younger.

Tuesday's positivity rate was 4.17 percent.

Gov. Beshear also announced that Kentucky has crossed another milestone, as the state has now conducted over a million COVID-19 tests.

Gov. Beshear also announced five new coronavirus-related deaths, bringing the state's coronavirus-related death total to 1,065. One of the Kentuckians to suffer a coronavirus-related death was a 49-year-old man from Shelby County.
