611 new cases of COVID-19, seven new deaths reported on Thursday

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — During his Thursday press conference, Gov. Andy Beshear announced 611 new cases of COVID-19 in Kentucky. After the removal of duplications, the 611 new cases bring Kentucky's COVID-19 case total to 25,147.

Of the 611 new Kentuckians to test positive for COVID-19, 21 are under the age of five.

"We continue to see a very disturbing trend of children under five testing positive," Gov. Beshear said. "They (The 21 new cases) come from 13 different counties, meaning it is not isolated."

Gov. Beshear also announced seven new coronavirus-releated deaths, one of which was a 49-year-old from Fayette County. The seven new deaths brings Kentucky's cornoavirus-related death total to 684.
