776 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Kentucky on Wednesday

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — During his Wednesday press conference, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that 776 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Kentucky, bringing the state's COVID-19 case total to 58,764.

Wednesday's positivity rate was 3.89 percent, making it the second straight day that Kentucky's positivity rate was under four percent.

Gov. Beshear also reported eight new coronavirus-related deaths, including a 49-year-old woman from Christian County. A 66-year-old man from Fayette County was also included in Wednesday's coronavirus-related death report. The eight new coronavirus-related deaths brings Kentucky's coronavirus-related death total to 1,082.
