FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — During his Thursday press conference, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that 910 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Kentucky, bringing the state's COVID-19 case total to 69,728. The 910 new cases comes after back-to-back days of over 1,000 new cases being reported.

Of the 910 new cases, 146 involve Kentuckians that are 18 and younger.

Gov. Beshear also announced 17 new coronavirus-related deaths, one of which was a 29-year-old woman from Clark County, bringing Kentucky's coronavirus-related death total to 1,191.

"That makes this about the fifth or right around the fifth highest day," Gov. Beshear said of coronavirus-related deaths. "It brings our total number of deaths to 1,191, meaning by the end of the week we will probably hit 1,200."

Gov. Beshear did disclose that the 29-year-old from Clark County had an underlying health condition.
