FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Gov. Andy Beshear had a wide-ranging discussion via Skype with LEX 18's Kevin Christoper to talk about his administration's response to the coronavirus outbreak.
Beshear talked about plans to restart the economy, and including other states in the discussion.
"We announced yesterday a partnership with Indiana and Ohio... and we are extending that today to include Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and a number of other Midwestern states," Beshear said. "It is going to help us when we ease restrictions we will do it at the same time... so one state's contacts don't hurt another, but also looking at our regional economies and making sure we can be more effective in how we restart them. We will be talking on Friday about the metrics about what we will be looking at about how we can begin to ease restrictions."
