ADAIR COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Officials at the Adair County Fiscal Court announced the county's first COVID-19 related death Tuesday.
Gale Cowan, Adair County Judge Executive, posted on Facebook that she received a call around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Lake Cumberland District Health Department, reporting that a patient who was a resident at Summit Manor Nursing Home, but was being treated in the hospital, died as a result of complications from coronavirus.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to this family during this time. I ask that everyone respect the privacy of the family members of these patients." said Cowan.
Staff members at Summit Manor are working closely with Lake Cumberland District Health Department to take precautions to protect everyone at the facility.
