LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The President of the Breeders' Cup Championship says things are still a go for the event at Keeneland in November.
President and CEO Drew Flemming says the health and safety of the racing community is top of mind.
Breeders' Cup officials are working with Keeneland, government authorities and public health experts to assess the coronavirus' potential impact on the world championships.
Officials say with the event still seven months away, they remain fully committed to the November 6 and 7 dates.
Officials say if the event would be canceled, all ticket purchases would be refunded.
