MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Governor Andy Beshear says the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases at a Kentucky state prison is expected to increase.

We're told results are expected today from the Green River Correctional Complex in Muhlenberg County.

Governor Beshear says, quote, "They're going to be pretty tough numbers to see."

An outbreak at the prison led to the facility's entire population of nearly 1,000 inmates being tested.

At least one inmate reportedly died after testing positive for COVID-19.
