LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — The first COVID-19 vaccine tested in the U.S. is boosting people's immune systems as scientists had hoped.
Researchers say the shots are poised to begin key final testing soon, as their current 45-person study is going as planned.
They say the vaccine will take its most important step on July 27, when a 30-thousand person study will begin.
It will prove if the vaccine is strong enough to protect against the coronavirus.
