LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — CustMbite, a subsidiary of Delta Dental of Kentucky has donated $1 million dollars to the "Coffee with Cal" program. The program is supporting the No Kid Hungry, Feeding America and other charities providing relief during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Coach John Calipari started the 20-week video series that streams on Facebook last Monday. The effort helps the Calipari Foundation generate support for children who normally depend on school meals. Coach Calipari's video features high-profile guests in the world of sports, politics and entertainment.

“Coach Cal has such a huge heart and his passion to use his platform to support kids during this time is so remarkable,” said Jude Thompson, president and CEO of CustMbite and Delta Dental of Kentucky. “CustMbite is all about smiles, and people could really use some smiles right now, so we are glad to have the opportunity to partner with Coach Cal and his foundation to help ensure kids are receiving the nutrition they need.”

"Big thanks to CustMbite for stepping up with us as we do what we can to help kids during this difficult time," Calipari said. "My friend Jude and his team there at Delta Dental and CustMbite are so committed to their communities and doing the right thing, and we're thankful to have them on board."
