First COVID-19 related death in Simpson Co.

SIMPSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A patient who tested positive for the coronavirus in Simpson County, Kentucky has died.

That's according to Simpson County Judge Executive, Mason Barnes who posted the update to his Facebook page.

Sunday, Governor Andy Beshear announced there were 45 new cases of COVID-19 in Kentucky.

The Governor has stressed that the next couple of weeks are crucial in keeping COVID-19 numbers down.
