LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Free COVID-19 testing will once again be available at Shiloh Baptist Church this week as part of the City of Lexington’s Mobile Neighborhood Testing Program.

The program is in response to data showing Lexington’s Hispanic and African-American communities are disproportionately affected by COVID-19.

Health Department officials say COVID-19 cases disproportionately affect the city's African-American and Hispanic populations. Of the 2,076 cases, 451 (22%) are among African-Americans, a group that makes up 15% of Lexington's population. 569 of the cases (27%) identify as Hispanic, a group that makes up 7% of Lexington's population.

COVID-19 testing will be available for free at Shiloh Baptist Church (237 E. Fifth St.):

  • Thursday, July 16 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Friday, July 17 from 2 p.m.-8 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 18 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Drive-ups and walk-ups will be accepted. No appointment is necessary. Spanish-speakers will also be available on-site to help.
