FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Governor Andy Beshear is asking a Circuit Court and the State's Supreme Court to examine three of his Executive Orders on the coronavirus.

The Governor filed paperwork asking a Frankfort judge to rule on his recent order making masks mandatory for most people in public.

He has also asked the Supreme Court to address a pair of other orders overturned by an appeals judge this week.

The Judge sided with lower court rulings, saying the Governor wrongfully cut capacity at a Florence raceway, cut group sizes at a Boone County daycare, and kept some agribusinesses from opening statewide, a decision that Governor Beshear argues threatens Kentuckians' health each day.
