LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Local ice cream shop, Crank and Boom is once again creating a special flavor for a good cause. This week's falvor is called "NEXT MudSLIDE KENNETH."

In past weeks, Crank and Boom has released three flavors honoring Governor Andy Beshear and ASL translator, Virginia Moore. Those flavors are: "Candy Beshear" and "Beers with Beshear" and "Virginia S'Moore."

This week, Crank and Boom is honoring another Team Kentucky Hero, Kenneth (last name not mentioned, but likely Mansfield, a member of Beshear's Communications team), who assists the Governor with slides during his daily briefings. In an email to their fans, the Crank and Boom team wrote, "We thank him for helping to showcase the slides that help us understand all of the information out there each day. We know your work is helping to keep Kentuckians informed and safe."

NEXT MudSLIDE KENNETH is described as a boozy milkshake cocktail in ice cream form. The ice cream features creamy flavors of Kahlua coffee liqueur and Bailey's Irish cream as well as swirled dark chocolate sauce.

$2 from the sale of each pint will benefit Glean Kentucky, a company that gathers excess fruits and vegetables from farms and groceries, then distributes them to over 100 agencies across Central Kentucky to people in need. During the COVID-19 outbreak, Glean Kentucky has redistributed raw ingredients from local restaurants, and helped to deliver meals to Fayette County Public Schools students and their families.

Pre-ordering for this flavor will close Thursday, April 16 at 11:59 p.m. To find out more on how to order, click here.
