Joella's Hot Chicken introduces "Bless Your Heart" free meal campaign

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Joella's Hot Chicken announced Thursday it will launch the “Bless Your Heart” campaign honoring teachers and nurses May 3 to May 10.

Based on local community nominations in eight regions, Joella’s will give away up to 200 meals and donate 10% of all orders on May 6 to the American Nurses Foundation.

Joella's new campaign coincides with Teacher and Nurses Appreciation weeks.

“We want to take this opportunity to thank, honor and feed these individuals who have been unwavering during this crisis,” said Christina Happel, Regional Vice President of Operations for Joella’s Hot Chicken. “While teachers and nurses are often loved and appreciated, this year they have gone beyond the call of duty and have become even more invaluable to our communities as we fight the coronavirus pandemic.”

You can nominate a teacher or nurse by visiting Joellas.com and clicking on the "Bless Your Heart" banner. The nomination window opens Sunday, May 3, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. ET. The window ends Sunday, May 10, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Honorees will be contacted the following week.

Joella's will give away up to 200 meals and donate 10% of all orders on May 6 to the American Nurses Foundation.

Joella’s has 16 locations throughout the Southeast and Midwest and has identified eight regions for nomination including Louisville, Ky., Lexington, Ky., metro Atlanta, Indianapolis, Bloomington, Ind., Cincinnati, OH, Melbourne, Fla., and metro Tampa Bay.
