FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — In another challenge to an executive order by the governor, a federal judge has dismissed two people from a lawsuit who sought to have the governor's travel ban overturned.
However, the judge is allowing Attorney General Daniel Cameron to challenge those orders.
In an opinion issued on Saturday, US District Judge Gregory Van Tatenhove said the challenge by two unidentified Kentuckians is now moot since Governor Andy Beshear amended the ban to be more of a suggestion than an order.
But he also ruled that Cameron can continue his case to argue that the governor's order is unconstitutional.
