FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Kentucky State Representative has prefiled a bill that would see Kentucky reopen dozens of employment offices statewide.
Representative Terri Branham Clark says the same bill was sponsored in 2017, but it did not make it to the floor.
She says the COVID-19 crisis has shown a tremendous need for more than 50 local offices to help the unemployed, many of whom have faced backups trying to claim state benefits.
The bill set to be introduced when lawmakers resume in January.
