LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington developer has released an app that sorts out all information you need to know regarding COVID-19.

CentrAlert develops emergency communication software systems all around the world.

CentrAlert President Jeff Whattam said the Know NOW! app was developing in response to a massive influx of COVID-19-related information in February and March.

The app is made of three sections: alerts, maps and resources. Whattam, said the app also includes notifications from the governor and shows testing sites.

"You can click on your particular location, and then you can find the map information," Whattam said. "Then if you wanted to go to a certain location, you click on that location, and you can navigate right to that location."

The app works anywhere in the country.

"There's also a resources tab available," Whattam said. "So if I'm in New York, I can also get the latest on the mandates also in Kentucky. When I travel, it will automatically update. If I'm in Ohio, it will automatically switch to Ohio."
The Know NOW! App is free to download in the App Store or Google Play.
