LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington reported 384 new COVID-19 cases over the weekend, 181 on Saturday and 203 on Sunday, and one new death, according to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department.
The city has had 25,625 total cases and 167 deaths since the outbreak began in March.
There have been 2,231 cases reported so far in January.
The health department encourages residents to adhere to the following guidelines to help slow the spread of coronavirus:
- Wear a cloth face-covering in public
- Avoid close contact with others
- Wash your hands often
- Stay home if you are sick.
