LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — November has already been Lexington's busiest month for new COVID-19 cases, according to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department.
The city reported 245 new cases on Monday, bringing the total to 14,171 cases and 104 deaths since the outbreak began in March.
There have been 2,838 cases so far in November. The previous monthly high was 2,804 in September.
Almost 31% of the city’s total COVID-19 cases have come in the last month: Lexington reported 4,360 cases from Oct. 16 through Nov. 16.
The city’s highest single-day case counts have been in November:
- 265 cases, Nov. 14
- 255 cases, Nov. 11
- 236 cases, Nov. 7
- 195 cases, Nov.15
- 189 cases, Nov. 12
- 187 cases, Nov. 13
- 184 cases, Nov. 10
- 183 cases, Nov. 9
- 181 cases, Nov. 5
