LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Hospitals in Louisville are feeling the strain of COVID-19.
On Wednesday, officials from Baptist Health and U of L Health issued a warning ahead of the holiday season.
In an open letter, the heads of both hospital systems said they're prepared for another surge in COVID-19 patients, but bed space is running low, and there will be a limit to how much the hospitals can handle.
They warned at some point... hospitals could be too full to treat everyone with the virus and those with other medical needs.
They urged everyone to do their part to slow the spread, including wearing masks and avoiding gatherings with strangers and extended family.
