LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lundy's Special events has partnered with Lexington's Catholic Action Center to help feed the homeless during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lundy's team has committed their main commissary and kitchen to make over 600 meals a day to be donated to the Catholic Action Center. The partnership began on Tuesday, March 17 and as of March 27, over 6,000 meals have been prepared.

The team now hopes to reach over 10,000 meals by the first week of April.

Owner, Jerry Lundergan says Ginny Ramsey, Director of the Catholic Action Center, contacted his team around March 12, saying that they needed help, because the Center's daily volunteers would not be allowed to bring their usual donations. Lundergan says their culinary team created a rotating menu and began working.
