54 coronavirus-related deaths reported on Thursday in Kentucky, record daily high

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — During his Thursday press conference, Gov. Andy Beshear announced that 3,349 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Kentucky.

"That is a lot, but it is still less than last (Thursday)," Gov. Beshear noted.

Thursday's positivity rate is 8.45%.

Gov. Beshear also announced 54 new coronavirus-related deaths, a new daily high, bringing Kentucky's coronavirus-related death total to 2,316.

As of Thursday, 1,817 Kentuckians are hospitalized for coronavirus-related reasons, 431 of which are in the ICU and 254 of which are on a ventilator.
