WASHINGTON, D.C. (LEX 18) — A Kentucky representative is one of the few members who opted out of wearing a mask during the U.S. House's first meeting in a month.
According to reports, only two of the dozens of members present yesterday were not wearing masks, Representatives James Comer of Kentucky, and Jim Jordan of Ohio.
Representative Tim Burchett of Tennessee, who was outside the hearing, was also reportedly not wearing a mask.
Burchett defended his position by saying, "I didn't take a mask for somebody who needs it more."
Representative Comer has not said why he didn't wear a mask.
