(LEX 18) — Senator Rand Paul says he is now COVID-19 free, two weeks after he was diagnosed.
Senator Paul drew a lot of criticism for not self-quarantining as he waited for test results, leading several lawmakers to quarantine as a precaution.
Tuesday, Senator Paul tweeted an update, saying he's been re-tested and is negative.
I appreciate all the best wishes I have received. I have been retested and I am negative. I have started volunteering at a local hospital to assist those in my community who are in need of medical help, including Coronavirus patients. Together we will overcome this! pic.twitter.com/9SeypT7rL6
