HARRODSBURG, Ky. (LEX 18) — Shaker Village is introducing two new animals to their farm. A few weeks ago, a baby ram and several ewes were born into the family.
The Shaker Village team asked their followers on social media to help them name the new animals. Followers gave a lot of suggestions, but the team finally decided on Baashear and Virginia.
The ram, Baashear, was named in honor of Governor Andy Beshear. One of the ewe's was named Virginia, in honor of sign language interpreter, Virginia Moore. Shaker Village officials say they didn't forget Kenneth; they're just waiting for another ram to be born.

Remember our new lil' lambs that we asked you to help us name? Well, we've chosen some names that we hope will make you smile and express our gratitude for the leadership our state has received during this difficult time. Introducing Baashear and Virginia! They're named in honor of @govandybeshear and Sign Language Interpreter Virginia Moore. We hope that once we reopen Governor Beshear and Virginia can come meet their namesakes, but they "can't be doing that right now." P.S. We didn't forget about Kenneth...we just need another ram to be born! #ShakerVillageKY #TogetherKy #TeamKentucky
