Spotlight on Cynthiana: Keeping the faith in a pandemic

CYNTHIANA, Ky. (LEX 18) — Cynthiana was established in 1793 and has a rich history. Small town values and pride in the community are two qualities you'll find in the people of Cynthiana.

When the coronavirus first affected the community back in March, churches closed their doors to help slow the spread of the virus.

For the past ten years, Reverend Tony Stevenson has been the Senior Pastor of Cynthiana's Macedonia Baptist Church. He's been a leader in the pulpit and in the communities he serves.

Dia Davidson talked to him about the impact the pandemic has had on his congregation and the Black community.
