Three inmates at Fayette County Jail test positive for COVID-19

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Three inmates at the Fayette County Jail have tested positive for COVID-19, a spokesperson with the Lexington Division of Community Corrections said in a press release on Wednesday.

All three inmates began showing symptoms and were tested on Monday. They were then moved into medical isolation as they awaited test results. Other inmates in their units were isolated.

Several guards who worked in the unit are also isolated and awaiting results.
